I adore the show New Normal and one of my favorite episodes is when Bryan decides to go back to church and the Father is so cool with him. Having no expectations and being flexible is very important. He had no idea what he was getting himself into. He gave me a very clear answer that this was right. The church can be a very cruel place for single people. But, as soon as the marriage happened, the Mormon spouse goes full on Orthodox and expects the non Mormon to comply. I intend to spend some quality time in the temple, with my bishop, and with close family and friends as I think and pray my way through this decision, but I would also value your insights into this. Its always been I who is being tested for patience,loyalty and trusting and trying to adjust with his unpredictable time schedule. I volunteer every week, I put others before myself, etc.
